Amore Motor Lodge is the perfect accommodation choice for your next trip to Christchurch. We are located in popular Riccarton, an attractive residential suburb about 15 minutes’ drive both from the centre of Christchurch and Christchurch Airport.

Our location is central, with the heart of Riccarton and all its shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars just a two-minute walk away. Despite this central and highly convenient location, we are also spoiled to have fantastic nature all around us. In fact, the Riccarton Bush is directly behind Amore Motor Lodge, with many of our rooms overlooking it. A five-minute walk will take you right into this bush and all that nature has to offer in this stunning part of the world.

For your Christchurch trip, Amore Motor Lodge provides an excellent base. Located on Riccarton Road, we are super easy to find too.

Essential Locations Near Amore Motor Lodge

In the centre of Riccarton, you will find everything you need on your trip. This includes supermarkets, the Westfield shopping mall, banks, pharmacies, cafes, bars, and restaurants.

You’ll also find things to do in Riccarton, including the Hoyts movie theatre. As the heart of Riccarton is only about two minutes’ walk from Amore Motor Lodge, everything is nearby.

Riccarton Bush is also within walking distance, as is the Anytime Fitness Gymand the University of Canterbury.

Christchurch Hospital is a five-minute drive, as is the railway station. If you are going to Christchurch Arena for an event, it’s about five minutes away by car too.

If you are travelling on business, Blenheim Rd and Addington business districts can be reached in less than 10 minutes. Plus, if you are coming in by plane, Christchurch airport is a 15-minute drive.

Places to Visit Near Amore Motor Lodge

There are loads of attractions and places to visit during your stay at Amore Motor Lodge. The centre of Christchurch is about 15 minutes by car and offers plenty to see and do. If you haven’t been before, it is well worth a visit.

For parks and gardens, Hagley Park, Mona Vale, and Christchurch Botanic Gardens are all close by. Make sure you also take a ride on the Christchurch Gondola, too, for some fantastic views over the city from high up in the air.

Avon River – 14km of meandering river that snakes its way through Christchurch. Its Maori name is Ōtākaro, and it’s popular for a range of activities, including river punting.
TranzAlpine Train – to see more of the Canterbury region, including the Southern Alps, take a trip on the TranzAlpine Train. It takes about five hours and features stunning scenery.
Sumner Beach – this 10km beach is one of the best in the Christchurch area, and it is the perfect place to spend a sunny summer’s day.
International Antarctic Centre – explore and experience the Antarctic right here in Christchurch with interactive experiences that can be enjoyed by all.
